I have my own definition of Northern Sky vs. Southern Sky.

Looking at the northern sky, you see it rotate counterclockwise around
Polaris. Looking at the southern sky you see it rotate clockwise around
nothing. At the equator, that would split the sky into hemispheres
matching Earth's. (Theoretically you could see the whole sky, because of
   the oblateness.)
