   The best introduction on the study of mythology that I know about is   
   the first chapter of Vecsey's _Imagine Ourselves Richly_.  Or if you   
   want a more extensive treatment, _Sacred Narrative_ edited by Dundes.   
      
   If you want myths themselves, go to a library, look up "myth" and head   
   to that section, and dive in.
