   Do you believe that without history we are nothing? This has been a question   
   i've been asking myself. What exactly did my family come for, and what   
   purpose did they have in life. Over generations and generations, people   
   loose their sense of purpose, I do believe a lot of people ask themselves,   
   what am I here for. For instance (please correct me on this), every black   
   man and woman in the US came at one point or another from Africa. Their   
   history is that they were taken, and brought over, and over the years their   
   aggression has slowly come to a halt... But each and every one of them, has   
   had a family member that has had to fight for survival. To me, it's just so   
   hard to imagine, someone knowing their history and what happened to their   
   family, not wanting to get back to their homeland. (or not wanting to do   
   other things).   
      
   Now, on another subject, I was able to trace my family all the way back to   
   Greece, which doesn't tell me much, but just how do I end up being born in   
   Canada from South American parents? Currently I have family in Italy, family   
   in Australia, family in Chile, family in Montreal, Canada, and family in New   
   York, not to forget my direct family here in Florida.   
      
   I do know the opposite side to this argument, people just have sex and   
   create kids, and they grow up to do whatever they want, but not me, I want   
   to continue and hopefully finish what my family started generations ago, if   
   only i knew what is was... I think re-uniting with a certain loved one might   
   be key, i actually think i found her.. maybe im just crazy.   
      
   Well whatever it is, I want to know YOUR opinion. If you think about a man   
   with alzeimers disease, who doesn't remember his own daughter's name, then   
   who are you? If you don't remember where you came from then how can you tell   
   where you are headed? You can't see the forest because of too many trees?
