   It is not difficult to understand. Think of the Oxana Malaya video.   
      
   The battered woman is in repetition compulsion, recreating / repeating   
   the emotional states of her relationship with abusive male relatives   
   in early life. She can't stop herself.   
      
   Then there can be transgenerational repetition within a family, which   
   skips one or two generations.   
      
   The Orientals may argue that the grandson is a reincarnation of the   
   dead grandparent, hence the repetition...   
      
   This is explained in "Family Secrets" by John Bradshaw and elsewhere.   
      
   Such books make painful reading.
