   He didn't "flirt with fascism."  Punks, including Sid Vicious, were sporting   
   swastikas and Nazi regalia at that time, and they snarkily referred to "Led   
   Zeppelin" as "dinosaurs of rock".  Page wore the boots and hat in the first   
   half of one Chicago show    
   to parody the punks.
