The FBI has said for 40 years that AIM thought that       Anna Mae was an informant and therefore killed her. I didn't think Anna Mae       was an informant. No one I knew thought she was an informant. If AIM wasn't       saying that she was an        informant then who was?              Actually, i think those are good questions. (surprise!) I'm accepting of the       verdict, but not so much the motive or who really set it in motion.              However, why *wouldn't* they (FBI) say that? It does seem like the most       obvious motive to someone who believes AIM was behind her murder (and/or the       order for her to be murdered). I guess no one wants to think there was a third       party anywhere.              Is it an accepted fact or conclusion that the motive had to be that she was       suspected of being an informant? I don't know, i'm asking.              I also read on wikipedia the other day that Anna May was becoming influential       in shaping AIM policies and programs before she died. That's a big deal.       Policy determines the future of any organization. Wikipedia's not the best       reference site, i know, but        it's good for the little reminders.               Durham was outed as an FBI informant, and *he* was only *exiled*.               And what about the way she was killed?       Who does that?        Who would say, "This is how it needs to be done."              I don't know, just thinking out loud.              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Execution_by_shooting              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
