   That is a function of the inertia of any conceptual model in science.  And   
   well it should be least any puff of wind blow it this way and that.  When   
   the new information reaches a form of critical mass only then does it start   
   to change.   
      
   Clovis was displaced by multiple sources of information.  It included   
   finding older archaeology sites and new ways to evaluate linguistic and   
   genetic information.  The current concensus now has the inertia.
