The Church was made for people, not people for the Church. The very
first gay marriage was conducted years ago, under a properly issued
license, and by a Methodist minister. Gay marriages aren't for
    everybody,
and I don't approveof being gay or lesbian just to be trendy. I
    am 42 years
married myself. But people who look with their eyes without a Bible
blocking their vision, can see that some same-sex couples are as
    married
as I am. Be what you want to be, don't tolerate hypocrisy, but don't
destroy the happiness of others by applying inflexible Biblical texts.
In St Paul's day, and back in 500 B.C., homosexual liaisons were
common, often with a great disparity in ages. I am not supporting
homosexuality. I am supporting a freedom to choose an enriching
   relationship.
