   It's a bit deceiving. The density of mushrooms is not that great. Walking   
   some ways delivers a few, but diverse fungi. I have another 6-8 new   
   (to me) species from the last weekend.   
      
   I have not heard of the morel season starting yet, or anyone finding   
   antyhing,   
   locally. The first morel foray is on Apr. 29-30 in Sierra Nevada. We didn't   
   get any fires this (last) year, so the best fire areas are last years'.
