   Actually, you should NEVER eat mushrooms growing in a nice weed-free   
   lawn, (or any lawn, for that matter, unless you know it to be free of   
   herbicides and pesticides) as the lack of weeds is a good indicator that   
   herbicides have been applied to the lawn, and there are cases on record   
   of folks picking and eating normally edible mushrooms from lawns like   
   that and getting sick as a result of ingesting the herbicide that the   
   mushrooms absorbed.
