From: norsgerm@a...........              I live in an area (N Minnesota) that transitions from farmland to forest. I       find very few in the farming area.        Does anyone know how long it takes for a yellow morel (for       example--morchella esculenta) to establish itself on disturbed (plowed or       grazed) land. My father does have the right trees (spruce) growing on a       wildlife plot that have been there about 20 years. I find lots of boletes       (long needle pine also) and other varieties.       Will morels establish themselves in 20 years?       Some people tell me they will only grow in the 'old' forest.       Kurt              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
