|    Drying Cantharellus cibarius?    |

From: gunilla.fagerholm@_NO_JUNK_telia.com              Hi       I have seen on the internet that people are drying this kind and also       c. pallens. I have never done that since the books say it will become       hard and tough and too strong in taste, since they are so fleshy. Do       you have any experience? Are they good?              I am tired of filling the freezer just with cantharellus so it would       be good to know.              I also hear people saying it is possible to freeze these mushrooms       without cooking them in their own juice first - just putting them in       the deepfreezer after cleaning them. Is that possible?              We are still waiting for the rain here in this part of Sweden. All the       mushrooms are drying up. Imagine, waiting for the summer to come so       that you can go out daily picking mushrooms and when summer comes - no       rain.              Gunilla              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
