   This pholiota squarrosoides first appearred last year on a huge old oak by   
   my parents house.   
   I guess it means the big old oak is living it's last days.

   These pholiotas are the most insect infested mushrooms that I ever find.   
   Even though the cap is still in the 'button' stage it is riddled with   
   insects. (can't eat these anyway)
