   I'm no photo expert, and have an 'autofricus' camera myself, but, usually   
   the key to the best focus (in my limited experience) is the area that I   
   focus on. For example......   
   if I focus on a dark or light area of the subject. Just moving a little to   
   different areas produces very different pictures.
