From: ~.^.~@~.^.~.sHIT              Finally got my spawn from Fungi Perfecti...I only ordered it the on 'Black       Friday'...guess some of these things take time...       Blewitts are aged enough that I may procede... We went through a cold stage       [teens at night and thirties during the day]...*&$^@$#+...back to forties       and seventies now so I'd best get this done.       In review, the 'Lepista nuda' base is shredded oak chips, inside is a       combination of mostly oak leaves with a few grass clippings thrown in with       the spawn and all covered up with more oak chips and a layer of shredded oak       leaves. I'd like to cover with burlap, but since it is not available I will       recycle some cardboard [no color ink] to retain moisture. In SC when the       winter rains are not here, it is dry, dry, dry.       Pioppino spawn will not be ready to go until Jan 1, so depending on the       weather, I may try an initial indoor fruiting before I innoculate the       outdoor beds...       More on the Shiitake and Chicken of the Woods plug spawn to follow              ~jim~              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
