   It's dry now in the mountains of Virginia.  Last find was Chicken of the   
   Woods, Laetiporus cincinnatus, over a week ago.  Absolutely nothing   
   since.  May scout around in the damper hollers, tomorrow morning.  But,   
   not getting my hopes up.  Thunderstorms race along narrow tracks in the   
   late afternoon, all have skirted around my immediate area.  There's a   
   tropical storm, "Barry," forecasted to track east of us.  We're on the   
   dry side of the predicted track.  The only moisture comes from morning   
   fog, from night air too lazy to move, until the mid-morning sun provides   
   some incentive... But, the incentive is only enough to stir a breeze,   
   undetectable except for the occasional shuffling of a leaf here and there.
