   I've knocked on a couple neighbors' doors to ask permission to pick   
   mushrooms from their yards.  I was well received, always, without   
   exception.  They were all too happy for me to pick their mushrooms.   
   And, although I offered, none wanted to share, or even taste, the dishes   
   I'd be soon preparing.   
      
   I'm sure they view me as some kind of maniac, but a friendly and   
   harmless maniac; better than a maniac who sneaks around at night to pick   
   mushrooms in the dark.  Now *that's* suspicious.   
      
   And, if the neighbors try and like the mushrooms growing in the garden,   
   you'll be like a hero to for pointing them out.  But, be 100% sure of   
   your ID.  You don't want to be responsible for poisoning the neighbors.
