   Amanita rubescens has never been referenced to be psychedelic; no   
   chance.  It is edible with caution, as mistakes in id can be fatal.   
   Also, it has potential to hurt you if eaten raw.  Some recommend it be   
   boiled once or twice with the water being discarded.  I fry it very   
   well, as was the preferred method of esteemed member, Jaques   
   d'Alltrades, who seems no longer to be with us.  ; )
