There are many small, compact, orange Chanterelles coming up in the
backyard. Many seem to be half-buried in the soil. I will carefully
pick and clean them. This variety doesn't have much flavor or aroma raw
that I've noticed. I'm thinking of *quickly and gently* warming thin
slices in butter or olive oil to reveal any hidden aromas and flavors.
   Any other suggestions for cooking?
