I'm quite jealous. The only shrooms I get       > growing in my back garden are brown roll rims and red cracked boletes :-(              I gave two of the largest ones to a neighbor. Will probably experiment       with different ways of soaking, battering and frying them. I do have a       recipe that recommends slicing them into french fry shapes, coating the       slices in tempura and frying, then dipping the fries in a soy-based       sauce to eat while hot.              Depending on the taste, the rest of the family may or may not decide to       eat them. Though, I've always found them to be pretty damn good, as       long as you don't burn them. Scorched puffballs are nasty.              --       I can tell your future just look what's in your hand...              - Robert Hunter              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
