   You need just the right soil and weather conditions to get them to   
   produce mycelium, let alone fruitbodies, and even then they are known to   
   sulk.   
      
   There aren't that many edible fungi which you can grow reliably. Apart   
   from the usual suspects - shiitake, rice straw mushrooms, Agaricus   
   bisporus, oyster mushrooms and a few others, the only one I've had any   
   success with is Auricularia auricula-judae.
