   We have no cellphone coverage at all in the mountain valley where I   
   live.  It's the 1st thing noticed by visitors to our home, as they voice   
   a complaint, "The phone doesn't work."  We do have a fruitful blackberry   
   patch we share with the black bears.   
      
   No landline?  How do you browse the web?  Library or wifi at the pub?   
   If you don't mind me asking.   
      
   It would seem we're witnessing the fruiting of the telecommunication   
   mycelial network.  All kinds of devices, apps and services are sprouting.
