Any common name should make mention of       its slimy nature, which is readily distinguishing in the field.              Chestnut stuffing? No, I haven't tried it but it sounds as if I should.        We sometimes boil or roast chestnuts in a Dutch oven atop the       woodstove. I plan to start making sourdough bread, and bake it in the       Dutch oven.              The mushroom stuffing we are still eating has grated turnips in it,       giving a wonderful sweet taste. First rate, really. Made with stuff       harvested in the fall. The mushrooms are a *perfect* addition; very       mild tasting, a compliment to rather than a distraction from the mix.              We're scheduled to visit my mom and the rest of the family in the city       Thursday, Thanksgiving Day proper. But, I don't want to share the       stuffing. It's *that* good. Mom leaves for Macau tomorrow.              --       Mushroom blog:       http://ftvmushrooms.blogspot.com              The adpReview blog is being revised.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
