   Main season is well over, here. Today I was assaulted by snowflakes the   
   size of dinner-plates.   
      
      
      
   Bt it's cold and white here over most of the UK. Many sports fixtures   
   are  cancelled, including tonight's darts match in the Village Club.   
      
   And it's not xactly warm in my front room either.
