   I think the electrolyte in an alkaline cell (a unit of battery) consists   
   of Potassium hydroxide (KOH). Don't know for sure. Check on the accuracy   
   and safety of my claim before any extraction and use of an alkaline cell   
   electrolyte.   
      
   Disclaimer: KOH in alkaline battery electrolyte is extremely corrosive.   
   Not responsible for harm. Use at your own peril.
