   Need to disagree with you there Sir, you can get chemicals easily over the   
   internet these days. It's amazing what you can buy just on ebay. I remember   
   as a teenager wanting to continue my chemistry hobby how difficult it was to   
   find a company to sell me mineral acids. To be fair, most of my experiments   
   tended to involve explosions and the like so they were probably right (hey,   
   I was a teenager). These days there's no need to even do the experiments   
   because you can watch someone else do them on youtube in the safety of your   
   own armchair.
