We keep getting promised lots of rain, thunderstorms, etc, and have to
make do mostly with a few spots of drizzle.

Today was a case in point: took my umbrella to Norwich as a precaution,
the forecast being very damp, and didn't have to open it. Possession of
an umbrella is a powerful juju against rain...

Cricket matches OTOH are the mycologist's best friend, for the evocation
of the essence of Stonehenge or Callenish enacted by the circle of
fielders, batsmen and umpires brings down the opprobrium of the skies if
not in spades, then certainly in buckets.
