   Boletus satanas is edible (FSVO edible) if well cooked.

   I'm told it smells vile while cooking, and doesn't taste a lot better.   
      
   My advice to mushroomers is that unless you _know_ a mushroomis edible   
   raw, don't eat it raw.   
      
   Examples include Lepista saeva; L nuda; L sordida will haemolise the   
   blood: many boleti can be decidedly poisonous raw; Amanita rubescens is   
   poisonous raw - the list goes on...
