   Scleroderma - common earthball - can't unforget the specific name, but

   Listed as poisonous, you'd need a plateful before you noticed anything   
   amiss. In some parts of Germany these are used to flavour sausages -   
   supposedly mimicking truffle. It is ze worst approximation...   
      
   I comminute them in a liquidiser and dry them for use as ersatz   
   worstflavour.
