   If there isn't a copy of nppdf32.dll in Netscape 7.1's plugins folder,   
   try copying the one in the \Acrobat\Reader\Browser folder to the plugins   
   folder.   
      
   If there is a file type for application/pdf in 7.1's Edit -> Preferences   
   -> Navigator -> Helper Applications, try removing or editing it.
