   Netscape 7.2 being based on Mozilla (suite) has all internet facilities   
   built in.   
   Netscape 8 is based on Firefox which is a standalone browser   
   You can use your choice of mail application (Thunderbird is suggested)   
   to fill the gap   
      
   AOL doesnt seem to be supporting Netscape 7x any longer, they are not   
   even issuing updates for security exploits   
      
   Netscape 8 is intended as a replacement/alternative for AOLs current IE   
   based browser on the AOL system. There is no Linux or Mac version.   
   For most users who are NOT using the current AOL browser on the AOL   
   system, they should use Firefox and Thunderbird   
      
   With Firefox and Thunderbird most users will 'see' the same performance   
   or better than with Netscape 7, in packages that allow for more   
   customization, are more secure and not subject to the same security   
   exploits as Netscape 8 is (by nature of the enhancements to work with   
   the AOL system)
