   Go to  Edit -> Preferences -> Helper Applications   
      
   I'll guess that you have wrongly associated the extension .wmf with   
   the type "application/octet-stream".   To fix,   
    •  select "application/octet-stream",   
    •  click the "Edit" button,   
    •  and remove wmf from the extensions.   
      
      
   It may not be only "application/octet-stream", or it may not   
   be "application/octet-stream" but some other type like   
   "application/msword".   
      
   You should remove the .wmf extension from all types,   
   EXCEPT for any of the following types which you might have:   
       image/x-wmf   
       application/x-msmetafile
