   When I did, my bookmarks disappeared (more than 2000 of them).  Any idea on   
   how to get them back?

   Simple answer is you can't. I have had this happen if the system crashes with   
   Netscape open.... the bookmarks and one or more of the NS files get corrupt.   
   Going back to a previous restore point didn't even work. Only thing I do is   
   back   
   my bookmarks file up frequently...
