   Dear Clueless:

When you close FF and restart it, do you get a message like the
profile is in use, do you want to create another one? If so, then
DON'T create another profile. For some reason, FF didn't close
properly and it wont' let you use the current profile. It wants you
   to create another one.

All your settings, bookmarks, etc, are stored in a profile. When you
create another profile, you're starting all over again.

Instead, cancel that message, and do the three finger salute --
ctrl+alt+del and bring up the Task Manager, and end the program that
way. Now you can restart FF.

In the mean time, click on Start, Run, and enter

   firefox.exe -profilemanager

This will bring up the profile manager. Delete any newly made profile
and restart FF with your old profile.

If this doesn't work, then let us know exactly whats wrong.
