7.2 over 7.0 any day of the week!
7.2 includes several security enhancements and literally thousands of
bug fixes over that of 7.0

8.0 is a totally different program
8.0 is based on Firefox, and doesnt include an email client
7.0 (and 7.2) are based on Mozilla (suite) and contain a browser,
   email/news, composer and chat modules.

8.0 being newer than Netscape 7.2 is more advanced with thousands of bug
fixes and yet even more security enhancements than the earlier program
Tho based on Mozilla (suite), Firefox split off from the base program at
about the same time that Netscape 7.2 came out.

8.0 as stated before is based on Firefox, but includes several AOL
features that emulate IE (in order to interact with the AOL system more
effectively). This re-introduces to Firefox some of the same security
problems people switched to Firefox from IE to get away from.

If you are on the AOL system, then perhaps Netscape 8.0 would be
suitable for you. For users NOT on the AOL system, then I would suggest
Firefox (1.0.7 is out) would be the beter choice. Netscape 8 doesnt
include the security enhancements included in Firefox 1.0.7
