If you like the Netscape 7.2 version, then I would suggest that you
upgrade to Mozilla 1.7.12 (also known as Mozilla the Suite). Netscape
7.2 is Mozilla 1.7.2, only in disguise. The only difference is
Netscape has the branded name, Netscape Webmail access, IM, and a few
others. Moz 1.7.12 has more bug and secuirty fixes than Net 7.2.
Furthermore, you can use the same profile from Net in Moz. Just don't
use the same profile for both programs.

Your profile is where all your settings, preferences, bookmarks,
passwords, mail, address book, etc are stored

Firefox is based on Mozilla, but it too is browser only, just like the
newer Net 8.x. You cann't share Net 7.2 profile with FF or Net 8.x.
They're not compatible. But you can share the same bookmark file.

There is also another program called Thunderbird. This progam is just
a mail program, and it too is based on Mozilla. Again, you cannot
share the same profile. However, you can transfer all your mail from
   Net 7.2 to TB.

So, the choice is yours. For my money I would stick with Mozilla.
However, Mozilla as we know it is dead in the water. The Moz people
have discontinued the Suite package. And instead they are
concentrating on the 2 separate programs of FF and TB. However, a few
developers and testers and end-users want to continue with the Suite
Application, so they're coming out with a new program called
SeaMonkey. SM will continue where Moz left off. Its still in the
developmental and testing stage, but should be coming out with the
   first Final Release soon.

Any ways, if you're interested in Moz/FF/TB you can go here:
   www.mozilla.org

As for your question, how to transfer from one computer to another,
   see this for help: http://ilias.ca/mozilla/profilefaq/#transferring.
If you have problems, do come back and someone will help. Good Luck!
