   I suspect that, at some point, you have spoofed your User Agent string,   
   and neglected to switch it back.   
      
   Type about:config into your location bar.  Filter for   
   general.useragent.overide   
      
   The value on Firefox on XP would be:   
      
   Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12)   
   Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7   
      
   On NS8:   
      
   Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20050729   
   Netscape/8.0.3.3   
      
   I don't why this pref would exist in NS8, since it can use either the   
   Mozilla or IE rendering engines, making UA spoofing unneeded.  Check it   
   though, and report back.
