Hmmm....       > Melon       >              Your automatic backup should take care of that end of it, no problem.       However, does your automatic backup overwrite the previous backups? If       so, then you would be unable to restore deleted mail from the backup.       Probably best to archive the mail.              Create a new folder for your archive in 7.2. Do not make it a subfolder       of Inbox, make it on the same tree under the account name. Lets say you       call it Archive.              Move the mail to be archived into this folder. This can be done by drag       and drop, or, in the case of large amounts of mail, you can create a       filter to move it for you. For example, if you wanted to archive all       mail before a certain date, say January 1, 2005, your filter would be       for Date>is before>1/1/2005, with the action to move the mail to the       Archive folder.              I'm sure you can customize that to meet your needs.              Once mail is moved into the archive folder, close Netscape, and navigate       to your profile's mail folder. Open the account folder, and cut out the       file named Archive, with no extension. Save it someplace where you can       find it if needed.              When you reopen Netscape Mail, the folder and the mail in it will be gone.              Should you need to access the archived mail, simply paste the file named       Archive back into the profile in the location you originally found it.       Open Netscape Mail, and Archive will reappear, with all its mail.              Lee              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
