   This question applies to Netscape 8.0.2 & 8.0.4.  I do not have this   
   problem with 7.2.   
      
     In the navigation bar I have a search window.  I use google.  If you   
   type a word in the box and search you get a web page result.  If you   
   continue to type words in the navigation box window you will get a list   
   of words when you left click on the blue box and also a "Clear search   
   history" option.  This works the same as the Tools\Options\Privacy\Clear   
   button.   
      
   However, if you do not type in the navigation bar box (leave it blank)   
   and click on the search button you will be taken to google.com.  Any   
   words typed here are not cleared by the clear search history button or   
   the cover my track option.  Double click on the empty box (Google web   
   page) where you would type you question and you will see a search   
   history.  This will be completely different words than the ones from the   
   navigation box.  Where is this information being stored?   
      
   I have removed all cookies, emptied all caches, word searched every .js,   
   .rdf and text file in the program for search phrases.  Also, if you   
   start google by clicking on an empty search box on the navigation bar   
   and then go off line, do two or three searches on the web page even   
   though it can not complete the search, the searches are recorded as   
   history while you are off line.   
      
   This history also appears word for word in Ask Jeeves.   
      
   Any ideas?
