   This concerns Windows xp and Netscape 7.2, and trying to get data from   
   multiple profiles into one profile.   
      
   A few months ago, Windows reported one of my hard drives needed   
   checking, and I let it proceed.  The result was that some files were   
   truncated, and I lost my Netscape functionality.  It was then that I   
   discovered that the backup I had been doing religiously gave me the data   
   in some strange file type, which I didn't know how to use.  No problem,   
   I just created a new profile.  In fact, over the months I have created   
   many profiles (eight or ten), but I now have it to the point where two   
   of them work.   
      
   My problem is that one of them has current data (I save a lot of   
   information as email), while the other has my older data.  I tried   
   copying some data files (car, a msf file, and car, a file) from one   
   profile to the other, but when I use the profile I want to keep, the car   
   folder appears in the reader, but the email in it is not there (but is   
   there using the other profile.   
      
   I tried creating a folder named archive in each profile, thinking that I   
   could copy data into that, move it in explorer to the other profile, and   
   drag it into the appropriate folder in that profile.  However, explorer   
   search finds two archive files, with different extensions, in one   
   profile, and no archive files in the other profile, although when I open   
   the reader, an archive subfolder is present using each profile.   
      
   I've munged the names of all the extra profiles I had created, with no   
   apparent ill effect, so I will be deleting those files.   
      
   How can I get all my emails from the historical profile into the current   
   profile.  I'm almost at the point of just emailing them to myself, but   
   there are hundreds of them, if not thousands.
