   1.  You can download previous versions from   
       http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/download/archive.jsp   
       All versions up to 7.x include Composer.   
      
       However, I do not recommend that you do so because   
       older versions are missing important security fixes.   
      
   2.  Instead, Mozilla Suite continues where those previous versions   
       of Netscape left off.  Mozilla 1.7.12 includes those security fixes   
       and Composer.

   3.  The stand-alone successor to Composer is NVU, as gwtc has replied.
