   Glad to hear that.

I deleted it and restarted Netscape.
Indeed, I saw 'rebuilding summary file' and the sun started to shine again.
I've had to do this a couple of times now, but I keep getting 53 emails
(the amount that was there on the 28th of December) including the ones
with the weird text (just for a laugh, here it is:
"encrypting charadrine coturnine morrocans and create pyrrhuline
   lemurine west-africans tig analyze.")

I checked my Imap folder, it is empty.

   >> I don't know what "everything" is in this context. What is the path?
With everything I meant Local folders and the POP folder.
When I checked the properties of my inbox it read:
   C/Documents&Settings/my name/Application
   Data/Mozilla/Users50/default/vkhhy2m1.slt/Mail/pop.wxs.nl/Inbox.

From this location (and any other location I could find) I deleted the
   inbox.msf.
