   Thanks for answering. Sadly, your suggested measures didn't work.   
   Password Manager still doesn't save any passwords.   
      
   I read a posting by a guy with a similar problem at another NG, where he   
   offered something to ponder.  Could this be the result of a password   
   stealing worm?  By forcing us to retype our passwords, they conceivably   
   may be able to get passwords that are otherwise encrypted, with one of   
   those programs that copy whatever we type.
