To: "Moz Champion (Dan)              If its a flash popup, then you have to make another setting. In the       browsers address bar type in about:config and look for this entry:              privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins              once found double click on it and change the number to 2.              If you don't have it, then click on any entry, do a right click,       select New, Integer, and in the 1st box enter the above line and in       the 2nd enter 2.                     Windows XP, SP2              I was using Netscape 7.2 and performed the above advice. I did not have the       setting and put it in. Upon a subsequent re-boot, Netscape would not open.       There was an error message indicating something was wrong with the "binding"       and this prevented Netscape from functioning. (cant remember the exact       wording). System restore would not bring back Netscape's functionality.       Removing Netscape and re-installing (add/remove) would not get it to open.       Manual deletion in Windows Explorer did not work to allow a new install that       worked.              Any suggestions as to where there might still be remnants of Netscape or       that would contain about:config?              A download of Netscape 8.1 and Thunderbird did work.              Thanks for any help or suggestions              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
