From: charles96@dunjas.com              I am running Fedora Core 4 on an AMD pc.       I just downloaded netscape-i686-pc-linux-gnu-sea.tar.gz       gunzip ran without incident and left       netscape-i686-pc-linux-gnu-sea.tar       tar xvf netscape-i686-pc-linux-gnu-sea.tar       created /usr/local/netscape-installer and a few dozen files       The instructions are to run /usr/local/netscape-installer/              Here are the last few instructions in /usr/local/netscape-installer/README               3. Change to the directory that contains the        Netscape installation files:        cd netscape-installer               4. Run the Netscape Installer with the run        script:        ./netscape-installer               5. Follow the on-screen instructions to        complete the installation process.               6. To start Netscape, change to the directory        where you installed it and run the program:        ./netscape        The program starts automatically the first time.              3 and 4 and 5 appeared to run OK.       When I ran 6, I get nothing. since /usr/local/netscape/netscape       is a script, I note that it searches for mozilla. So I let it       search for over five minutes. nothing!              Suggestions appreciated,       Charles              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
