I could find       nothing on the Delta site indicating that any transaction of any value       may be done through POP3/IMAP. As I said, that would be really       stooopid. Every secure transaction that I have ever done goes through       a Web Site, and for good reason. There is no way that the average user       can be expected to fend off the phishers and spoofers. That is why you       don't use HTML for email from companies like Delta, Ebay, Bank of       America, PayPal, etc. Try this:               (http://survey.mailfrontier.com/survey/quiztest.html)              All it would take is one ill-advised click on a spoofed link, and       you're hosed. And that doesn't even take into consideration the MITM       and drive-by attacks. ISTM that Delta has enough problems without       trying to keep the phishing/spoofing creeps at bay.              Have you purchased e-tickets from Delta in the past? I would expect       that you would receive at most an activation code/password by email       (text or HTML), and then use that to download your e-ticket from       delta.com.              Ron :)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
