   couple of things to check.  First, look at your settings under Edit,   
   Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings, select the account and under   
   Server Settings, on the right where it says User Name, some times you   
   may need the full email address such as avocat5@sbcglobal.net or other   
   times you can get away with avocat5.   
      
   Next, in the same area, uncheck "Use secure authentication."   
      
   Do either of these help?

   Identity -- what are you talking about here?  Do you mean a profile? A   
   profile is where all your bookmarks, settings, mail, passwords, etc   
   are stored.  Netscape 7.1 has one, Net 8.1 has one, and so can   
   SeaMonkey.  I used the word can there, because if you want to SM can   
   also use Netscape 7.1 profile.  But, it will be worthless to get SM if   
   you can't solve this problem.  If the problem is in Net profile, then   
   SM will also pick it up.  Unless, you create a separate profile for   
   SM, and set up the accounts and everything on that, then we can help   
   you transfer other stuff over to the SM profile.
