   . . . if you're using something like hotmail, yahoo mail, or something   
   similar, then you CAN use your browser to sign into those sites and   
   use their mail to send and receive.  These are called web based email.   
     These are different than using pop accounts.  With pop accounts,   
   then  you must use a mail program, such as Netscape Mail.  Or you can   
   use the browser to sign into the web based part of it.

   as I said, if you install SM, then that program can use your Netscape   
   profile.  OR, you can create a separate profile just for SM and test   
   it out.  So, yes, you will need to set up everything like account   
   names, smtp, etc.

   as I said, all your settings, prefs, mail, bookmarks, etc are stored   
   within the profile.  When you uninstall, all you're doing is removing   
   the program.  The profile is not touched, and that is where your   
   problem is.
