   you're talking about clicking the reload button, right? And not   
   clicking on a link, right?   
      
   For windows, its shift and click and that by-passes whats kept in the   
   cache.  When you visit some sites, sometime the first page and other   
   pages are kept in the cache.  When you revisit that site, you're   
   seeing the cache version of that page, and not the actual page.  The   
   shift+reload, by-passes whats in the cache and goes directly to the   
   newer page, if any.   
      
   I don't know what the others do, unless you're talking about clicking   
   links aswell.
