Netscape in its suite       incarnation, could do nothing to recapture market share from IE. Opera,       with a similar model, has never made a striking inroad.              Mozilla got somewhere, but it was only when they began to focus on the       standalone apps that they actually made a noticeable dent in the IE       market share. For NS to look at that model, in their attempt to get back       in the race, only makes sense. It hasn't worked, and I suspect NS8 will       fade out of existence, and with it, the storied Netscape franchise.       Darn shame really.              For the old line Netscape user who prefers the suite, we are blessed to       have SeaMonkey. Give it a try, its everything Netscape should be.              Lee              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
